Last Chance to Nominate for the Lurie Prize in Biomedical Sciences

The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health is accepting nominations for the 12th Annual Lurie Prize in Biomedical Science recognizes outstanding achievements by promising scientists in biomedical research and includes a $100,000 honorarium.

Fellowship for Korean researchers

The Korean Visiting Scientist Training Award offers fellowship awards to support biomedical and behavioral research projects in NIH laboratories by young Korean early-stage postdoctoral researchers.

The Climate Change and Health CAFE is now open for applications

The Climate Change and Health Research Coordinating Center (CAFÉ RCC), a three-year cooperative agreement between the Boston University School of Public Health, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and NIH, is accepting applications for its inaugural 2024-2026 cohort.

  • Global Innovation through Science and Technology (GIST) Network is seeking science and technology start-ups from over 130 countries to participate in their 2024 GIST Business Incubation.

  • The USAID Science for Development Fellowships application is now open. The fellowship is a two-year experiential professional development opportunity for American scientists and engineers to work at USAID and apply their expertise and research skills to inform the U.S. government’s international development activities.

  • The Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx) has launched their Climate Health Innovation Equity Fund (CHIEF) Call for Innovators aimed at identifying and showcasing 20 pioneering solutions during the HIEx Convergence Marketplace which coincides with the World Health Assembly in Geneva on May 29.

  • The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program is now accepting projcet requests and scholarship applications. The program is for African institutions in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and member institutions of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and partner universities with the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) to host an African-born scholar to work on projects in research collaboration, graduate student teaching/mentoring and curriculum co-development.

  • The Wellcome Trust (UK), Volkswagen Foundation (Germany) and Novo Nordisk Foundation (Denmark) have initiated a joint call to promote transdisciplinary approach to research on how mobility and health are interlinked, influencing the general health, various health determinants and the well-being of local and mobile populations, and how the effects of mobility could be addressed in a sustainable way.
