Project Description
This training program is specifically designed to train a new cadre of researchers and leaders to address major but as yet under-studied public health problems engendered by conditions prevalent in urban and rural informal human settlements of low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). This training is relevant also to developed countries as informal settlements in the form of homeless encampments expand. Selected candidates will undergo field training on site in LMICs to develop new global health research skills framed within our project research theme of health equity.
