Deadlines

The competition will launch on Tuesday April 2, 2024, and the deadline will be Tuesday October 8, 2024, at 5 pm Eastern Time.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applications are open to advanced medical and Ph.D. (or equivalent research doctoral degree program) students interested in global health.
  • Degree requirements, research focus, and U.S. partner vary by country, as indicated on the Fulbright US Student Program website.
  • Applicants can apply to only one country.
  • Applicants must apply through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program website.

Program Overview

Fogarty has partnered with the Fulbright Program, the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government, to promote the expansion of research in public health and clinical research in resource-limited settings for medical and graduate students.

More information about the Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health (including eligible countries) and application process is available on the Fulbright U.S. Student Program website. The basic requirements and process for applying for the Fulbright-Fogarty Program are the same as for any Fulbright U.S. Student Open Study/Research Award.
