The National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s premier biomedical research institution, is seeking applications from exceptional candidates for the exciting position of Director, Fogarty International Center (FIC). The FIC advances the NIH mission by supporting global health research conducted by U.S. and international investigators, facilitating partnerships between health research institutions in the U.S. and abroad, and training the next generation of scientists to address global health needs.

Wellcome Career Development Awards are open for applications. This opportunity provides funding for mid-career researchers from any discipline who have the potential to be international research leaders. These are awarded three times per year.
Application deadline: November 20, 2025 - The
Discovery Science Award from the
Sebastian Strong Foundation supports early-stage, cutting-edge childhood cancer research. The aim is to advance meaningful change in pediatric cancer treatment. Applications are open to new, ongoing, and updated peer-reviewed research. The Award provides up to $500,000 USD over a period of 3 years. Open to applicants worldwide.
Letters of intent deadline: November 30, 2025 - The
2026 Lupus Insight Prize from the Lupus Research Alliance recognizes and honors significant scientific insights relevant to understanding the causes, pathogenesis, or treatment of lupus. The nominated research work must have been published during 2021-2025. Nominees may be working anywhere in the world, in both academic and industrial settings. Self-nominations are not allowed.

Postgraduate Teaching Visits to Resource Poor Countries aims to provide encouragement and support to European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (PID) members wishing to devote time to PID teaching and training activities in resource poor countries.

Research Grant Program from the
Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation (MNITF) supports researchers to improve clinical outcomes and positively impact the field of transplantation in the USA and worldwide. MNITF supports scientists at various stages in their careers. Anyone actively involved in research is eligible to apply from Junior faculty members establishing an independent research program to established investigators running large research centers or transitioning to new phases of research. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: December 1, 2025 - The
Early-Career Scientific Research Grant from the AABB Foundation supports investigator-initiated original research in all aspects of blood banking, transfusion medicine and biotherapies. The aim is to fund researchers on a path toward research independence. Applications for research into innovative and new projects are a priority. An applicant must be a doctor (MD or PhD), medical technologist, or a transfusion medicine or biotherapies professional and may be based in the USA or worldwide.
Application deadline: December 1, 2025 - The
Longitude Prize on ALS is an initiative of the non-profit
Challenge Works, the Motor Neuron Disease Association and partners. The Prize is an international program that seeks to propel the use of AI-based approaches to transform therapeutic discovery for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the most common form of motor neuron disease (MND). The Prize is open to organizations worldwide, including academic groups, companies or non-profits.

2025 ISN Early-Career Researcher Awards are proud to recognize outstanding early-career researchers from around the world. The KI-ISN Early Career Researcher Awards honor original contributions that drive innovation and impact in nephrology. Four awards are presented: two in basic or translational science and two in clinical science.
