Project Description

The COVID-19 pandemic ravaged Latin America and Peru specifically, demonstrating the importance of emerging diseases research and response capacities. Effective response to future outbreaks, epidemics and pandemics will require better-trained, experienced epidemiologists, in larger numbers. A partnership between the Peruvian CDC and world class academic institutions in Peru and the United States can prepare the next generation of emerging diseases specialists that an response to this challenge.
