Project Description

The program will develop a sustainable, model master’s degree program in international research ethics based at a strengthened Bioethics Center at Makerere University to produce graduates with potential to become bioethics leaders. Bioethics will become a significant part of their career participating in education of the next generation of bioethicists, design and implementation of high-quality ethical health research, conduct bioethics research, and provide expert advice to researchers, and policy makers.

The success of this program will translate into improvements in ethical decision making for research leading to enhancements in responsible conduct of research, and overall protection of research participants.
