Project Description

To meet the need for increasing research ethics capacity in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, in partnership with collaborators from the Berman Institute of Bioethics at Johns Hopkins University, this initiative aims to enhance the leading-edge Master of Health Research Ethics (MOHRE) program at Universiti Malaya (UM). Program enhancements will include increasing program flexibility to increase enrolment of working individuals positioned to make meaningful contributions to research ethics, strengthening the program by using a newly articulated competency framework, and implementing a robust UM faculty development program. By the end of the project period, the MOHRE program will be more sustainable and be positioned to help meet local and regional needs in research ethics.
