Project Description
Uncontrolled hypertension, the leading risk factor for death, is exceedingly common among people living with HIV (PLWH) in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Despite the pressing need to develop hypertension care models for PLWH in SSA, few effective interventions targeting this population exist. Using an implementation science approach, this project will adapt an evidence-based hypertension intervention, proven effective in other settings, for integration within HIV clinics to improve hypertension control among Tanzanians living with HIV.
