Project Description
Since 2015, the Malawi HIV Implementation Research Scientist Training program (M-HIRST), a collaborative program between the University of North Carolina and the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), has established a pipeline of implementation scientists at the Master’s, PhD, Post-Doctoral and Faculty level at KUHeS, its research partners and the Malawi Ministry of Health (MOH). Building on its success, the program will continue its effective implementation science training model while incorporating advanced implementation science and data science skills building for Malawian trainees. The program, seamlessly transitioned to KUHeS leadership, will be poised to address key emerging topics through sustainable local leadership within the Malawi HIV program.
