Project Description

Differences in the responses of mosquito populations to malaria interventions, both within species and between species, may impact intervention effectiveness, yet important aspects of this diversity remain poorly characterized. In this study, a combination of field and laboratory data together will be used with advanced computational methods to examine differences in vector competence between mosquito species and migration patterns within mosquito species. The results will improve our understanding of the current persistence of malaria parasite transmission.
