Project Description
The development and validation of a smartphone-based ultrasound program for trauma aims to fill a critical deficit in existing diagnostic capacity and decrease preventable deaths among injured patients in Cameroon. If found to be feasible and effective, this approach would shift clinical practice patterns in this context. The research is relevant to NIH’s mission because it seeks to lengthen the lives of trauma patients.
