Project Description
This project addresses the extreme burden of unmet mental health needs in India by continuing our two decades of success in building research capacity. The project expands by amplifying leadership in India; providing interdisciplinary, team-based training to early-career researchers and senior-career mentors on medical, neurodevelopmental, and neurodegenerative disorders; and deepening our partnership with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Through this work we will continue our demonstrated success in training individuals, nurturing interdisciplinary research teams, supporting scholarly output via peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and building on these outcomes to leverage additional research funds for Indian researchers, while continuing dialogue with ICMR regarding capacity building and policy.
