Project Description

The program aims to develop and sustain capacity to conduct neurological research and impart such knowledge in Africa, by offering in-depth formal training in the design, execution, and leadership of neurological research to 24 carefully selected African scholars. The fellowship, administered through a collaboration between African and U.S. academic institutions, as well as professional societies, will train eligible individuals in a broad range of clinical research issues, such that they can eventually populate Africa’s academic institutions as faculty, foster enduring capacity to engage in high quality neurological research, and mentor future generations of Africans in the field.
