Project Description
Electronic cigarettes, also known as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), are rapidly spreading around the world, including to low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The consequences of ENDS use are only beginning to be understood, and research is sorely needed in LMICs, where most of the world's cigarette smokers live. This project would collect original data in the middle-income countries of Mexico and Guatemala in order to integrate them into a larger international effort to understand the use of ENDS and the policies that are most likely to benefit public health.
