Nutrition library launches

WHO has unveiled an electronic Library of Evidence for Nutrition Actions - an online reference of current scientific evidence and nutrition recommendations. It will help researchers design, implement and evaluate interventions for maternal and child health.

New site for dengue initiative

The Dengue Vaccine Initiative has a new website. The consortium of organizations is seeking to introduce a vaccine in over 100 countries where dengue is now endemic.

Lancet’s global health portal debuts

The Lancet has launched a new Global Health Portal, which offers free and unlimited access in one location to all content from the journal’s various platforms and sections.

Best practices for mixed method research

NIH has released recommendations for best practices in combining qualitative and quantitative research. Prior to this report, there were limited guidelines for scientists seeking funding for research with mixed method designs.

Ovarian cancer analysis in Genome Atlas

An analysis of genomic changes in ovarian cancer provides the most comprehensive and integrated view of cancer genes for any cancer type to date. The study was done by The Cancer Genome Atlas Research Network, an NIH consortium.
