NIH selects new Fogarty director

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Monica M. Bertagnolli, MD, has named Kathleen M. Neuzil, MD, as the 13th director of the Fogarty International Center and NIH associate director for international research. Dr. Neuzil will be the first woman to hold the permanent Fogarty directorship since the center's founding in 1968.

Manuscript, Abstract & Poster Submission Opportunities

  • The Sapporo Exposome Symposium in Sapporo Japan, will bring together leading scientists and trainees from throughout Asia and the United States to share research findings, discuss translational interventions and policies needed to reduce the effects of the environment on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). The symposium is also offering an opportunity for travel funding for LMIC researchers up to $1800 US dollars.

  • The E-Learning Ghana Conference (ELGC’24) is now accepting abstracts. This years conference, which will take place in Ghana, is themed "Fostering Excellence in E-Learning Across Diverse Disciplines: Progress, Challenges and Prospects". The conference aims to bring together a diverse group of educators to administrators, trainers, support staff, technology experts, policymakers, and investors all with a shared dedication to advancing E-Learning initiatives.

    • Conference dates: July 11-12, 2024
  • The annual International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) Congress will meet in Istanbul, Turkey, September 5-8, 2024. The theme for this years meeting is Building Bridges: Addiction and Recovery. Early career researchers interested in attending should apply for travel awards by May 30.
