Fogarty Welcomes New Director

Fogarty International Center (FIC) welcomes Dr. Kathleen Neuzil as the 13th director of FIC and the first woman to permanently hold the position. An internationally recognized researcher, Dr. Neuzil focuses on vaccine development and vaccine introduction in low- and middle- income countries and regions.

Fogarty Offers HIV Grant Supplements

Fogarty, supported with funds from the Office of AIDS Research (OAR) at NIH invites supplement applications from currently funded HIV/AIDS research or research training grants to initiate research on the emerging need to address critical gaps in understanding the impact of HIV on the health of Women Living with HIV (WLWH).

Register for the 2024 Barmes Global Health Lecture, June 5

The Fogarty International Center and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) present the 2024 David E. Barmes Global Health Lecture 2024: “Global HIV/AIDS Response: Then, Now, Future,” by Ambassador Dr. John Nkengasong, U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator and Senior Bureau Official for Global Health Security and Diplomacy. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, June 5 at 1 p.m. ET (USA) on the NIH campus and virtually.

  • The 2024-2025 HGHI Burke Climate and Health Fellowship applications are now open! The fellowship award includes a salary of $75,000 per year for a total of up to two years to support scholarship related to climate and health. During the fellowship period, Climate and Health Fellows will be an integral member of the Harvard Global Health Institute and Salata Institute and will participate in cross-University engagements on climate change.
