Attend the Data Science Solutions to Extreme Heat Events: Results of the HE2AT Centre Project Webinar
The presentation explores cutting-edge advances made by the HE2AT Centre project, funded through the Data Science for Health Discovery and Innovation in Africa initiative. The webinar will present AI-based solutions for automating the harmonization of health data and weather data, state-of-the-art analyses of health impacts from heat across Africa, and the project's contribution to national and global systems for monitoring and responding to extreme heat events.
The Framework for the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2027-2031 is now posted online!

Real World Evidence on clinical outcomes with Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) research funding from
Pfizer seeks to evaluate the use of Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) in adult patients with suspected or documented infections due to aerobic gram-negative organisms e.g., CRE-MBL, S. maltophilia. Applications are open to researchers who hold a postdoctoral degree and are based in countries where ATM-AVI is available (excluding the USA) and is used in clinical practice, including but not limited to parts of the EU, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and selected Asia-Pacific markets.

IARS Mentored Research Award (IMRA) from the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) supports the development of promising investigators in anesthesiology and related sciences. Applications may be in any area of investigation (clinical, translational, basic science) but must have ultimate relevance to the broad practice of anesthesiology and its subspecialties. Applications are open to investigators who have not established substantial independent research funding or who are initiating a new area of research. Open to applicants worldwide.

2026 Research Grant: Beyond Antibiotics – Preventive Strategies That Lower the Need for Antibiotic Use from the PAR Foundation supports researchers worldwide from diverse fields to propose projects that offer impactful solutions in the fight against antibiotic resistance. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: April 30, 2026 - The
Merck Advance Biotech Grant Program is open for submissions. Merck is soliciting applications from faculty or industry professionals affiliated with early stage biopharma worldwide to advance their research. The program provides funding, technical support, and consultation to help accelerate development toward IND and early clinical stages. 40+ biotech startups have been supported to date.
Submission deadline: April 30, 2026 - The
Applied Research Grant from the
Osteology Foundation supports scientific research projects in the field of oral tissue regeneration worldwide. Applications are open to early-career and established researchers, and teams who present with a track record in generating and translating basic research findings towards clinical application. Interdisciplinary (collaborative) research involving basic scientists and clinicians, as well as research groups from different universities/entities, is strongly encouraged. Open to applicants worldwide.

ORCID Global Participation Fund is offered by
Orcid, Inc. in an effort to provide universal uptake of ORCID, a persistent digital identifier (an ORCID iD) for those contributing to scholarly literature. This funding is intended for non-profit organizations, NGOs and government entities where the benefit/impact of the grant needs to be seen in one (or more) of the countries listed in "low- and lower-middle-income economies."

Sigma Foundation for Nursing Latin America/Caribbean Nursing Research Grant supports nursing researchers in Latin American or Caribbean countries to contribute to the advancement of health in their country or region through nursing research. Proposals for pilot and/or development projects may be submitted for this grant.

Sigma/Joan K. Stout, RN, Research Grant from the Sigma Foundation for Nursing seeks to advance ongoing evidence-based study by nurse researchers on the impact of the practice of simulation education in schools of nursing and clinical care settings. Open to applicants worldwide.

ESMO Leadership and Career Development Award from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) supports medical doctors who are ESMO members and wish to develop leadership skills while conducting a research or capacity-building project. The one-year project may focus on clinical or translational research, or on initiatives that strengthen institutional research infrastructure. The award also includes participation in leadership training activities and engagement with ESMO scientific initiatives. Open to applicants worldwide.

TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship Programme supports young scholars from developing countries (other than India) to pursue PhD research in emerging areas in science and technology at CSIR's laboratories and institutes in India. The duration of the fellowship is 4 years.

AACR Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Research Fellowship, funded by the
American Association for Cancer Research, supports a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow in conducting non-small cell lung cancer research. Open to applicants worldwide.

AREF Research Development Fellowship Programme aims to support researchers in Africa who are emerging leaders and working on important challenges for human health, to develop their skills as researchers. Early career researchers who are nationals of and employed in Africa are encouraged to apply.

Path to a Cure - Research Grants from the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation provide funding for research that contributes to the development of new therapies for cystic fibrosis, especially projects focused on advancing CFTR repair and replacement strategies. Applicants worldwide are encouraged to apply.

AACR MONARCA (Maximizing Opportunity for New Advancements in Research in Cancer) Grant for Latin America facilitates the capacity building of cancer researchers in Latin America. The Grant supports early-career independent researchers working in any area of cancer research who have completed their highest degree within the past 7 years. Applicants must be citizens of and currently residing and working in Latin America, i.e. Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

IPSN Catalytic Grant Fund is now open for applications. US$ 1.8 million in funding is available to support member organizations in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to pilot innovative approaches and build evidence for scaling up pathogen genomic surveillance, as well as wastewater and environmental surveillance. Submissions may be made by individual organizations or consortia, provided the lead applicant is an IPSN member from an LMIC. Organizations that are not yet members are welcome to apply for IPSN membership alongside their proposal.

GFCR Joint Society for Integrative Oncology Program supports integrative clinical trials conducted by principal investigators and institutions among its membership. Open to applicants worldwide.

NOMIS & Science Young Explorer Award recognizes work that has made significant advances in applying techniques developed in one domain to address questions in another—for example, methods to investigate problems of causal inference, understand complex networks or perform image recognition have been developed in both social science and life science contexts.

2026-2028 ALSN Pilot Research Award from the Association for Leadership Science in Nursing (ALSN) supports a pilot study that advances the ALSN research. Applicants must be ALSN members, in good standing, and up-to-date with their membership dues. Applications are open to researchers with a strength in nursing leadership science or novice researchers, including PhD students, interested in nursing leadership science, who will be mentored by an experienced researcher. Graduate Research Fellowship from the
Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance supports graduate students on research projects on Friedreich’s ataxia, a genetic, progressive neuromuscular disease. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a research-based (dissertation-required) program, leading to a Ph.D. (or equivalent) at a not-for-profit institution of higher education in the USA and worldwide. Open to applicants worldwide.

L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Central America and Andean region award recognizes early-career women researchers who are nationals living and working in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Applicants must be currently pursuing their PhD or have completed their PhD within the past 8 years in the fields of formal sciences, life and environmental sciences, material sciences, engineering sciences and technological sciences.

Infectious Disease Clinical Trial Development Award from the
Wellcome Trust supports multidisciplinary teams led from Africa, South Asia or South-East Asia to develop an innovative idea for a future proposal for a clinical trial that optimises licensed infectious disease interventions to drive impact in low- and middle-income countries.

Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health from the National Academy of Medicine recognizes individuals, groups, or organizations for outstanding achievement in improving mental health. For the purposes of the Sarnat Prize, the field of mental health is defined broadly and includes, but is not limited to, the neurosciences, psychology, social work, public health, nursing, psychiatry, economics, law, and other disciplines, as well as perspectives from those in non-profit organizations and foundations, among others. The Annual Symposium on Global Cancer Research (ASGCR) is now open for submissions
The organizers for the ASGCR invite submissions of scientific abstracts and session proposals from all persons wishing to present on topics related to global cancer research and control. Areas of interest include research, research training, and program implementation and evaluation, with a focus primarily on low-resource settings. ASGCR is the flagship meeting of NCI’s Center for Global Health, bringing people in global oncology together to discuss trends in global cancer research and control and map out collaborative efforts.
