- The
Curative Therapies Research provides funding for researchers worldwide to promote accelerated development of curative therapies for Fragile X, including – but not limited to – gene therapy, gene repair, gene reactivation, protein replacement, mRNA therapeutics and targeted ASO treatments. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis. - The
SRSF Mentored Collaboration Grant supports trainees who have limited sleep or circadian mentoring options in their chosen field of interest to mentors who can provide rich, face-to-face opportunities in state-of-the-art research techniques and methods. The mentor-mentee relationship is expected to extend beyond the face-to-face portion through ongoing phone or web-based meetings over the course of the funded year, with the goal of producing a research product such as an abstract for the SLEEP Meeting, a manuscript, and/or a grant proposal. The collaboration may take place in the United States or abroad, provided both participants remain active Sleep Research Society (SRS) Members. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis. - The
MQ Mental Health Research Schizophrenia Research Fellowship supports early career scientists from across the globe in research that improves understanding, prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment of schizophrenia. Applications are open to mental health researchers who have between 3 and 7 years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates must be based at a university, hospital, or other independent research organization located anywhere in the world, except those based in countries currently under UK financial sanctions.
Expression of interest deadline: August 12, 2026 - The
Multiple Sclerosis Research Program - Investigator-Initiated Research Award from the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) supports highly rigorous, high-impact research with the potential to make an important contribution to multiple sclerosis research and/or patient care. Applications must include preliminary data. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: August 13, 2026 - The
L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Caribbean program supports early career women researchers who are nationals of a country or territory in the Caribbean. Applicants must be PhD, postdoctoral or early-career researchers in life and environmental sciences, material sciences, mathematics, computer and information sciences, engineering sciences and technology.
Application deadline: August 14, 2026 - The
Epilepsy Research Program -- Virtual Post-Traumatic Epilepsy Research Center – Leadership Award seeks a Director and Deputy Director to lead the Epilepsy Research Program (ERP) Virtual Post-Traumatic Epilepsy Research Center (P-TERC). The Virtual P-TERC is a multi-institutional career development and research training platform that consists of Faculty and their Career Guides (primary mentors) and is managed by a Director and Deputy Director. Open to applicants worldwide.

Established Investigator Academic-Industry Partnership (AIP) Award from the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA) supports senior investigators working on melanoma research. Applicants must be past the first 5 years of their first faculty appointment at an academic, non-profit research institution in the USA or worldwide.

- The
ARRS Resident/Fellow in Radiology Awards recognizes outstanding research conducted by residents and fellows in radiology and radiological science. Award-winning papers are required to be presented at the ARRS Annual Meeting. Open to applicants worldwide.

In-vitro models & assays to identify novel therapies for neuroinflammatory diseases provides a research grant to develop in-vitro models & assays to identify novel therapies for neuroinflammatory diseases. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: August 31, 2026 - The
Rare-to-Common Neurodegeneration Impact Prize supports outstanding cooperative research projects at the interface between the rare childhood dementia CLN3 (Batten Disease) and more common neurodegenerative diseases (ND’s) such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s disease, as well as aging. The call is open to researchers based in German and international institutions.
Project outline deadline: August 31, 2026 - The
William H. Harris, MD Award recognizes an individual based on the quality and scientific merit of a paper accepted for publication in the Journal of Orthopaedic Research®. The topic of the paper must be related to basic and/or clinical research involving the hip. All types of research related to hip reconstructive surgery (i.e. biological, mechanical, clinical, etc.) are appropriate topics for the paper. Open to applicants worldwide.
Project outline deadline: August 31, 2026 - The
SRSF Small Research Grant supports the research of trainees and early career investigators who otherwise lack the institutional resources to support new studies or a sustained record of external funding. The program is intended to provide seed funding to support training and research, ultimately helping individuals successfully apply for or complete career development grants, such as K-awards. Funding for some grantees is provided in partnership with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Foundation (AASMF). The grant is open to all levels of trainees (undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs) and early career investigators and requires institutional affiliation at the time of submission and throughout the grant period.
Application deadline: August 31, 2026 - The
Milestones to a Cure funding opportunity from the National Psoriasis Foundation supports innovative, high-impact research that identifies pivotal scientific questions and accelerates progress toward a cure for psoriatic disease. Applications are open to independent psoriasis researchers worldwide who are actively responsible for the proposed research and eligible to apply as principal investigators under the policies of their host institutions.
Letters of intent deadline: August 31, 2026 - The
CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Cancer Research Institute funds promising young scientists working in immunology whose projects seek to address challenges in cancer. Candidates must have less than 5 years of postdoctoral experience. All research must be conducted at non-profit institutions in the USA or worldwide. There are no restrictions on citizenship nor location of the host institution. There are two application rounds per year, with closing dates on March 1 and September 1.
Application deadline: September 1, 2026 - The
Uncle Kory Foundation Seed Grant Program supports innovative early-stage brain cancer research. The grants are intended to help investigators generate preliminary data, launch new research initiatives and advance promising projects toward future external funding. The principal investigator must hold an independent research or faculty appointment and be authorized by the institution to lead externally funded research. Applications are accepted from academic institutions worldwide. Industry, biotechnology companies and other private organizations are not eligible.
Application deadline: September 1, 2026 - The
Global Science Summit Programme 2026 supports researchers working novel, interdisciplinary, and collaborative science-based solutions, enabled by digital technologies and health data, to current global challenges within cardiometabolic diseases. Applications are open to researchers worldwide, with collaborations between 2-3 research groups.
Application deadline: September 1, 2026 - The
PSC Support Seed Funding Awards support projects designed to generate pilot or proof-of-concept data that can lead to a competitive application to a large-scale funding body. Projects are expected to run for approximately 12 to 18 months. Open to applicants worldwide.

Alzheimer's Disease Research Request for Proposals supports U.S. and international researchers pursuing pioneering research to improve understanding, prevention, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: September 1, 2026 - The
Capacity Building in International Dementia Research (CBIDR) Program supports institutions and organizations in Low- and Middle-Income countries (LMIC). Proposals should fill current gaps in the research infrastructure and enable building larger and more sustainable portfolios. The Project Lead must be a full-time faculty member or full-time paid employee of the organization.
Application deadline: September 2, 2026 - The
Outstanding Research Team Prize recognizes collaborative research teams in sub-Saharan Africa and Europe working on infectious diseases within the scope of Global Health EDCTP3. The prize celebrates teams whose work demonstrates scientific excellence, strong collaboration and meaningful impact in advancing global health research.
Application deadline: September 2, 2026 - The
Accelerating the Development of Combined CGM–Pump Devices supports research and development projects that address key technical, clinical, and translational challenges related to combined CGM–pump devices, with the goal of accelerating their development and improving outcomes for people living with T1D. Open to applicants worldwide.
Application deadline: September 2, 2026 - The
Cure SMA Request for Proposals for Spinal Muscular Atrophy Research Projects supports research grants and postdoctoral fellowships that advance understanding of spinal muscular atrophy disease pathology and identify new therapeutic strategies. Priority areas include molecular, cellular and biochemical mechanisms of SMA; early proof-of-concept therapeutic approaches; and novel research tools, assays and biomarkers. Cure SMA invites scientists from around the world to apply.
