Description: Lavena Village on the island of Taveuni (Fiji) on the edge of the Waitabu Marine Protected Area.  We have made marine invertebrate and algae collections for drug discoveries in this area, and were hosted by the village community when we worked there.  Our antibacterial neurymenolides (published in Organic Letters in 2009) came from these collections.
