Project Description

This program seeks to support establishment of a strong, indigenous inter- professional Association, The African Forum for Research and Education for Health (AFREhealth), through building squarely upon the highly productive experience and achievements of 32 MEPI and 22 NEPI institutions. These two programs have been widely acknowledged for their success in advancing health professional education and strengthening research capacity in 18 African countries and initiating the formation of AFREhealth in 2016.

The program seeks to further develop AFREhealth as a strong, transformative, and sustainable association to serve as a leader and convener for scaling up south-south networking and collaboration across the continent to address the daunting health workforce challenges through innovative inter-professions education and research.
