Project Description

Even though young men at high risk for HIV in Vietnam are disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic, HIV testing and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) uptake among this group are low. By adapting an mobile health intervention developed in the United States for young men at high risk for HIV in Vietnam and explore barriers to implementing the app, this study will provide critical guidance for the implementation of mHealth interventions for HIV prevention, not only in Vietnam but also in other low-resource settings. This research holds great potential to improve HIV testing and PrEP use among young men at high risk for HIV and significantly contribute to the goal of ending the AIDS epidemic globally.
