Project Description
MU-JHU Research Collaboration/MU-JHU Care LTD in Kampala Uganda seeks to strengthen the capacity of Ugandan researchers to conduct rigorous HIV clinical trials among perinatal, pediatric, adolescent, and at-risk women and partners by supporting innovative short, medium, and long-term training opportunities that address the unique aspects of conducting HIV treatment and prevention trials in these populations. These essential skills and capacity building will include short-term (< 3 months) training for research teams; technical skills through medium term (3-6 months) didactics and practicums; and highly specialized long- term courses (> 6 months). Trainings will be available for suitable doctoral and postdoctoral candidates, and research team staff from MU-JHU and other Uganda research institutions, with MU-JHU serving as the training hub.
