Project Description
Thanks to effective treatment, people living with HIV (PLWH) are living longer and are now exposed to diseases that come along with aging. In sub-Saharan Africa, where most PLWH live, less is known about the complex, multiple, interacting diseases that older PLWH experience. This study will describe these diseases of aging in PWH in Ghana, evaluate how they are currently being managed, and build a foundation on which to test a new model of care to treat older PLWH to improve both the quantity and quality of life for this group.
