Project Description

This program aims to

  1. support Wits SPH to independently lead the IS degree program and fund 10 South African PhD students in IS HIV research
  2. support Wits and affiliate faculty to become independent researchers in IS HIV and
  3. build expertise in IS among three leading South African HIV research organizations.
In this renewal we aim to expand the cadre of IS researchers who can conduct rigorous IS research to improve the uptake and delivery of prevention and care programs in South Africa, ultimately preventing new HIV infections and deaths.
