Project Description
The "NexT generation traininG in HIV Research: Immunity in the First 1000 days in mother-infant dyadS” (TIGRIS) is a multidisciplinary, international, and inter-African continental HIV research training program. It will institute a laboratory-based training program to investigate how HIV infection in pregnant women leads to adverse birth outcomes and neonatal immune dysfunction, complemented with a didactic two-semester course in HIV and reproductive immunology that will enhance HIV scientific capacity in Africa.
