Project Description

The demographic shifts in both Thailand and Indonesia are associated with notable increases in the incidence and prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). To meet the challenges of the escalation in NCDs, The Praboromarajchanok Institute for Health Workforce Development (PIHWD) in Thailand and the University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) will engage in a training and capacity building program for scientists and institutions in Thailand and Indonesia. The program will provide needed and significant advancement of research that will be essential to policy and resource planning to manage the challenges posed by the rapid rise in NCDs in both countries.
