Project Description
Environmental health has been recognized as one of the most pressing problems of our time because pollution and environmental degradation has an immense impact on human health, especially in developing countries. This program will build on existing strengths at the Icahn School of Medicine and at the National University of Costa Rica to improve opportunities for research and collaboration. The training program will have impacts at the individual, institutional, national and regional levels by building on evidence gathered from previous experiences in research training programs by both institutions.
