  • The Addressing Rare Diseases PCORI Funding Announcement seeks applications that propose high-quality, high-impact, patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research (CER) projects that focus on rare diseases or, in the case of applications that focus on diagnosis, those suspected of having a rare disease. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The AACR-Torrey Coast Foundation Transpacific Gastric and Esophageal Cancer Research Partnership Grant supports a multi-institutional team with principal investigators from at least one institution in the United States and one in Asia. The focus is on collaborative research in gastric or esophageal cancer, specifically in the areas such as resistance, metastasis, innovative treatment strategies (including identifying and characterizing novel targets), and cellular and immunotherapies. Applications will be accepted from investigators at all career levels who have completed a doctoral degree and are affiliated with an academic, medical, or research institution in the U.S. and Asia. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Ann Theodore Foundation Breakthrough Sarcoidosis Initiative supports independent investigators at respected research institutions worldwide, who work on sarcoidosis. Proposed research projects should seek to increase the foundational understanding of sarcoidosis through projects focused on the biology and the epidemiology of sarcoidosis. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The ISHLT/Enduring Hearts Pediatric Heart Transplantation Innovation Challenge Grant supports research that focuses on reducing/eliminating rejection and/or cardiac allograft vasculopathy (CAV) through innovative management of children/adolescents waiting for, and/or having received, a heart transplant. The applicant must have an academic appointment at an accredited institution of higher learning beginning on or before initiation of the grant. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The ISHLT Research Fellowship Grant supports an innovative project led by a trainee that advances research in the fields of advanced heart or lung disease, transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and/or pulmonary vascular disease (PVD). Proposals may involve basic science, clinical, or translational research. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The AACR MONARCA (Maximizing Opportunity for New Advancements in Research in Cancer) Grant for Latin America facilitates building a cadre of cancer researchers in Latin America. The Grant supports early-career independent researchers working in any area of cancer research who have completed their highest degree within the past seven years. Applicants must be citizens of and be currently residing and working in Latin America, i.e., Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

  • The AACR Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Research Fellowship supports a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow in conducting non-small cell lung cancer research. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The In vitro Disease Modeling: Type I Diabetes-on-a-Chip Platforms for Translational Research funding opportunity aims to support accelerated translation and regulatory pathways of disease-modifying and islet cell replacement therapies for type 1 diabetes by prioritizing the use of validated and standardized organ-on-chip systems and other New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). The goal is also to encourage broader regulatory initiatives to shift from animal-based testing toward human-relevant, high-content preclinical models.

  • The ASCO Young Investigator Award in Survivorship provides funding to promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research in clinical oncology. This opportunity is focused on cancer survivorship. Open to applicants worldwide.
