The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) will hold its annual conference on April 9-12, 2026 with Pre-Conference Workshops that are free and open to the public on April 9th. Fogarty's acting director, Dr. Peter Kilmarx will participate as a speaker at this year's meeting.

  • The Graduate Student Ethics Writing Competition from the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethics Committee supports an annual competition for a graduate student paper on psychology and ethics. Applicants must be graduate student members of the APA and enrolled in a graduate program in psychology or a related field, and in good academic standing. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The In vitro Disease Modeling: Type I Diabetes-on-a-Chip Platforms for Translational Research funding opportunity aims to support accelerated translation and regulatory pathways of disease-modifying and islet cell replacement therapies for type 1 diabetes by prioritizing the use of validated and standardized organ-on-chip systems and other New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). The goal is also to encourage broader regulatory initiatives to shift from animal-based testing toward human-relevant, high-content preclinical models. Applications may be submitted by domestic and foreign organizations.

  • The 2026 Next Generation Travel Award from the Hydrocephalus Association supports early-career hydrocephalus researchers worldwide to attend the 2026 National Conference on Hydrocephalus, HA CONNECT. HA CONNECT is a biennial event that brings together renowned clinicians, scientists, and the hydrocephalus patient community. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Grants in Aid of Research from the Sigma Xi scientific research honor society supports undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in degree seeking programs worldwide. While membership in Sigma Xi is not a requirement for application, designated funds are available to members or whose primary advisors are members. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Graduate Research Fellowship from the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance supports graduate students on research projects on Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), a genetic, progressive neuromuscular disease. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Accelerator Awards supports groundbreaking projects with the potential to transform neuroendocrine cancer research and treatment. Proposals should push the boundaries of innovation and foster synergistic collaboration across diverse scientific disciplines. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Dermal Allograft Innovation Grants opportunity supports translational and clinical research that accelerates innovation in allograft dermis and skin by developing new enabling technologies, novel clinical uses, advanced processing or delivery methods, and next-generation product forms.   • The Nurse Grants support ESE Nurse members to attend the annual European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) in person. Applicant must be a fully paid-up ESE Member for 2026. The grant provides up to €250 for Nurses based in the Czech Republic and up to €400 for Nurses based in other countries.

  • The Basic Science Meeting Grants support ESE members working in basic research to attend the annual European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE).

  • The Africa CDC seeks applicants for a six month Public Health Emergency Management (PHEM) fellowship aimed at providing a pathway for developing a cadre of skilled workforce that is capable of initiating and leading emergency management programs that include timely detection and response to emergencies whenever they occur. African public health professionals who are working within government institutions are strongly encouraged to apply.
