Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) will hold its annual conference on April 9-12, 2026 with Pre-Conference Workshops that are free and open to the public on April 9th. Fogarty's acting director, Dr. Peter Kilmarx will participate as a speaker at this year's meeting. Also check out the Center's booth.

At the start of the Award term on July 1, 2026, the recipient must hold the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent at an academic, medical, or research institution anywhere in the world and have started their first independent faculty position within the past 6 years from the grant start date. Nature Awards for Inspiring Women in Science recognizes the scientific achievement of women researchers around the world. The Award is presented in partnership with The Estée Lauder Companies. Cures Within Reach has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) supporting clinical repurposing trials led by under-resourced researchers and clinicians based in low and lower-middle income countries (LMICs). Projects can be in any unsolved disease and must repurpose existing off-patent drugs, nutraceuticals and/or indigenous medicines in a new indication.

Proposals should focus on accelerating completion of translational stage activities necessary for advancement to clinical study of a therapeutic candidate or development of novel tools that address a critical bottleneck to the discovery or development of therapies. PROBio-LatAm Fellowships support young Latin American researchers to train in training in European Laboratories. Applications are open to PhD students to carry out research work that is a part of their PhD thesis. And also open to Latin American postdoctoral fellows and new researchers (not more than 5 years after obtaining the PhD degree) to carry out experiments that require special techniques and expertise or to facilitate other forms of scientific collaboration or advanced training.
Application deadline: April 15, 2026 - The
CARRA-PReS Collaborative Research Award funded by the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and the Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS), supports collaborative research between early career investigators who are CARRA (North America) and PReS (outside North America) members. This programme aims to provide seed funding for projects that leverage the expertise and infrastructure of both organizations, address priority pediatric rheumatology research topics, engage patients, and enable collaborations that would not be possible working with either group alone. Projects can include generating preliminary data, convening meetings, or conducting pilot studies. Open to applicants worldwide.

VISIBLE: Women's heart disease revealed from the Wellcome Leap program, jointly funded by Pivotal and the British Heart Foundation, supports researchers working on reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease for women worldwide. Open to applicants worldwide.

Real World Evidence on clinical outcomes with Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) research funding from
Pfizer seeks to evaluate the use of Aztreonam-Avibactam (ATM-AVI) in adult patients with suspected or documented infections due to aerobic gram-negative organisms e.g., CRE-MBL, S. maltophilia. Applications are open to researchers who hold a postdoctoral degree and are based in countries where ATM-AVI is available (excluding the USA) and is used in clinical practice, including but not limited to parts of the EU, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and selected Asia-Pacific markets.

IARS Mentored Research Award (IMRA) from the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) supports the development of promising investigators in anesthesiology and related sciences. Applications may be in any area of investigation (clinical, translational, basic science) but must have ultimate relevance to the broad practice of anesthesiology and its subspecialties. Applications are open to investigators who have not established substantial independent research funding or who are initiating a new area of research. Open to applicants worldwide.

2026 Research Grant: Beyond Antibiotics – Preventive Strategies That Lower the Need for Antibiotic Use from the PAR Foundation supports researchers worldwide from diverse fields to propose projects that offer impactful solutions in the fight against antibiotic resistance.
