  • The LCRF Award on Advancing Breakthroughs in ALK-Positive Lung Cancer is funded by the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and supports mechanistic questions and developmental therapeutics across the care continuum and has the potential to increase survivorship. Proposals for this grant should include a program of correlative, translational research that will enhance the understanding of ALK-driven lung cancers. Applications are open to qualified researchers worldwide.

  • The Young Investigator Award in Pediatric Brain Tumors provides funding to promising investigators to encourage and promote quality research in all focus areas of pediatric brain tumor research, with the goal of advancing the understanding and treatment of pediatric brain tumors. The Award is a mentored award and facilitates the transition from a trainee to an independent researcher. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program - Discovery Award supports novel, untested, high-risk, high-reward research projects with the potential to provide new insights, paradigms, technologies, or applications and with the potential to generate preliminary data that will lay the foundation for future projects.   • The GBA1-PD Parkinson's Disease Research Catalyst Program supports hypothesis-driven projects with an emphasis on integrative, cross-cohort analyses and the systematic characterization and standardization of models to enable broad use by the research community. The goal is to build a deeper, globally integrated understanding of GBA1-associated Parkinson’s disease by aligning efforts across geographies and maximizing the value of shared datasets and research assets.   • The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program - Platform Clinical Translation Award supports the rapid implementation of clinical trials with the potential to have a significant impact on the treatment or management of a disease or condition. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program - Impact Award supports applied research, defined as use-inspired and practice-oriented science that brings together outcomes from basic research, and insights from the real-world environment, to foster clinical applicability.   • The Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Research Program: Exploration-Hypothesis Development Award supports the initial exploration of innovative, high-risk, high-gain and potentially groundbreaking concepts in Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) research field.   • The Vision Research Program - Translational Research Award supports translational research that moves promising discoveries into clinical applications that will advance the prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, and/or treatment of eye injury or visual dysfunction associated with military exposure.   • The Macular Degeneration Research Grant provides funding for researchers worldwide with innovative research leading to greater understanding, prevention, and treatment of age-related macular degeneration. The Postdoctoral Fellowships from the Program are intended for researchers in the final stages of their mentored training and provide 100,000 USD/year for a period of 2 years. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Next Generation Research Grant in ASXL-Related Neurodevelopmental Disorders supports early career researchers in high-risk, high-reward translational research on the ASXL genes with strong potential for clinical impact. Applications may be submitted by basic, translational, or clinical investigators from USA and international public and private non-profit entities, including universities, colleges, hospitals, and laboratories, as well as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other for-profit companies.

  • The Global Health Technologies Coalition has launched a call for nominations for its 2026 Innovating for Impact Awards to recognize scientists and others who transform breakthrough research into lifesaving drugs, diagnostics, vaccines, and other tools for unmet global health challenges. The Partnership Award honors a research and development partnership, supported by the U.S. government, that brings together industry, government, nonprofits, academia, or other partners to advance a high-impact, game-changing global health technology.

  • A call for applications for theNational Academies Symposium - U.S.-Arab Frontiers symposium is now open. It will be held in partnership with Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, and hosted in Kuwait City, Kuwait, February 1 - 3, 2027. The meeting will convene U.S. and Arab scientists, engineers, and medical professionals to discuss major scientific advances on a wide array of topics relevant to the MENA region and globally.

  • The AOSSM-JRF Ortho Allograft Grant supports basic science or clinical research project that advances insight into meniscal or osteochondral allografts. Open to applicants worldwide.

  • The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program - Lifestyle and Applied Health Research Award supports clinical research and/or clinical trials using a combination of scientific disciplines including occupational science, psychology, psychometrics, biostatistics and epidemiology, surveillance, implementation science, and population health.   • The MQ Mental Health Research Schizophrenia Research Fellowship supports early career scientists from across the globe in research that improves understanding, prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment of schizophrenia. Applications are open to mental health researchers who are between 3 and 7 years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates must be based at a university, hospital, or other independent research organizations located anywhere in the world, except those based in countries currently under UK financial sanctions.

Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program

The NCI Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program (CPFP) supports postdoctoral fellows from diverse fields for up to four years of mentored research and career development. CPFP fellows build the foundation necessary for a successful transition to an academic, government, or industry position leading innovative cancer prevention programs. The program accepts U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and eligible international applicants from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
