						Project Description
Breast cancer burden is increasing in low- and middle- income countries, with a disproportionate burden of mortality in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) and among HIV-infected patients. Although resource-stratified guidelines are cost-effective and lifesaving critical data is lacking on the implementation outcomes (e.g. treatment fidelity) of these guidelines. Understanding treatment fidelity and modifiers of fidelity, is necessary for 1) appropriate adaptation of resource-stratified guidelines to fit the context in which care is being delivered; and 2) design of interventions that maximize treatment fidelity and minimize random variability, in order to achieve targeted survival outcomes.
