NIH gathers experts to discuss Zika and child development

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) convened a workshop, entitled "Bridging Knowledge Gaps to Understand How Zika Virus Exposure and Infection Affect Child Development," in Rockville, Maryland, on Sept. 22 and 23, 2016.

Participants from the U.S., Brazil and Puerto Rico, who are experts in obstetrics, maternal and pediatric infectious diseases, child development, rehabilitation and vaccine research, gave presentations and participated in panel discussions.
